About the Artist

Beth G. Dean

Beth Dean is a Mississippi-born artist whose vibrant, impressionistic oil paintings capture the beauty

of everyday life with a focus on coastal landscapes and luminous skies.

Trained classically under noted Mississippi artists, Beth holds a B.S. in Interior Design with an emphasis in Renaissance Art History, which deeply informs her work.

After a successful 20-year career as a commercial interior designer and firm owner,

Beth transitioned to pursue her lifelong passion as a full-time artist.

Her work is distinguished by an intense color palette and a masterful depiction of water and skies,

drawing inspiration from her extensive travels in Italy—where she is an ardent Italophile—and

from landscapes, lakes and oceans wherever she goes.

Beth’s paintings have been celebrated in galleries and shows, and her works are held

in private collections across the US and abroad.

Her keen observation and love for travel infuse her canvases with freshness and vitality,

resonating with collectors and art lovers alike.

An inspiring tutor, Beth leads oil painting, plein air, and travel sketch journaling workshops,

as well as exclusive Plein Air Artists Retreats in Europe.

She resides with her architect husband, Richard, on a lake in Madison County, Mississippi.

Their two sons, Morgan and Carson, remain her greatest joy.

" I am most grateful for the friendships and adventures

that life as an artist has given me.

Above all, I believe that we are to honor God in all that we do,

with the talents and abilities He has given us. "
